Infosys Variable Pay Structure

Infosys variable pay has two components:

  1. **Variable Pay (VP)**: 15–25% of CTC, paid quarterly, based on individual + BU performance
  2. **Business Unit Incentive (BUI)**: Additional quarterly incentive based on BU profits

Important: Infosys variable payout has historically been 70–100% of target, unlike TCS which more consistently pays 85–90%. During strong business years (FY24, FY25), many units paid 100%.

Freshers: First variable payout is usually after 6 months of joining. Don't rely on it for initial budgeting.
